The entire world is now dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic. The situation has illustrated the importance of having a modern health care system that can provide all sorts of health care, including preventative care, to a nation’s entire population.

No nation really has such a health care system, but those that have more developed systems have been able to slow the spread of the virus.

In the United States, this pandemic has shown that people of colour do not have the same access to health care. Death rates due to COVID-19 amongst African-Americans are more than twice as high as the general population. The Navajo Nation in Arizona, New Mexico, and Utah has a higher per capita case rate than any US state.

Seven years ago, the GoobNet Special Projects Enhancement and Enforcement Division [SPEED] talked about health care in the United States. The problems they identified still have not been solved.
