There now follows a ranking of the top full size rides in Brooklyn’s Coney Island. Criteria included excitingness, notability, cost, and ease of access.
- Cyclone: Currently operated by Luna Park, the Coney Island Cyclone is a timeless wooden roller coaster that has inspired duplicates all over the world. So famous that they named a baseball team after it.
- Thunderbolt: Currently operated by Luna Park, the Thunderbolt is a steel roller coaster with four inversions.
- Wonder Wheel: Currently operated by Deno’s Wonder Wheel Amusement Park, the Wonder Wheel is a Ferris wheel in which some of the cars don’t go all the way up. So famous that they named the park after it.
- Soarin’ Eagle: Currently operated by Luna Park, the Soarin’ Eagle is a flying steel roller coaster.
- Tickler: Currently operated by Luna Park, the Tickler is a wild mouse steel roller coaster.
- Coney Island Raceway: Currently operated by Luna Park, Coney Island Raceway is a go kart track.
- Sling Shot: Currently operated by Luna Park, the Sling Shot is a catapult bungee ride.
- Zenobio: Currently operated by Luna Park, the Zenobio is a dual armed vertical rotation ride.
- Scrambler: Currently operated by Deno’s Wonder Wheel Amusement Park, the Scrambler is a horizontal rotation ride.
- Bumper cars: Currently operated by Deno’s Wonder Wheel Amusement Park, which promotes them as “Road Rage – LEGAL and SAFE”.
- Ghost Hole: Currently operated by 12th Street Amusements, Ghost Hole is a haunted house ride. It is larger than Spook-a-Rama, and admission is a dollar less.
- Spook-a-Rama: Currently operated by Deno’s Wonder Wheel Amusement Park, Spook-a-Rama is a haunted house ride.
