WEEKLY WHINE
Results of 2016 US ballot measures
As you have no doubt heard by now – most likely via cries of despair and anguish coming from the direction of your local community college – New York real estate developer and Twitter personality Donald J Trump has been elected the 45th president of the United States of America.
The question naturally arises: What other things did American voters fuck up on Tuesday?
Two weeks ago, we informed you of the appropriate way to vote on all 156 state or federal district ballot measures. Since then, the Arkansas Supreme Court ordered the removal of Issue 7 from the ballot. So that leaves a total of 155 ballot measures at the state or federal district level. How did you, the voters, do? Join us as we review your performance.
Note that some states have not yet released their official results. Notably, the state of Oregon currently has results available from 95.98% of precincts, meaning that 54 precincts still need to get their shit together. Please do not rush to blame anyone. This fuckup is not the fault of anyone in particular – though Reg is currently on his way to Salem to lobby for the passage of a bill that impeaches Oregon secretary of state Jeanne P Atkins and replaces her with Abby Wambach.
Anyway, the latest results at the time of publication are shown.
